I have been wronged and I want someone to wright this wrong. Okay, I just paid you $40K for a brand new vehicle, I am not getting what I paid for already and you want me to pay more? Well guess what, the problem has NOT stopped, it is doing to more often, my husband is furious and am I, he is a mechanic and is should NOT be jerking into gear and it is doing it pretty hard. My brother is a Master mechanic, my ex-husband is a mechanic and my current husband is a mechanic, so I am not crazy, my husband experienced what the car was doing, so on the second oil change I expressed my concern about the transmission again, this time it only took five hours, the Rick Hendricks Rep told me that my vehicle was simply learning the way that I drive and over time I will not feel the transmission jerk into gear, he handed me a paper (that I still have) relating to the information he was referring to and in the same breathe he offered me to pay more money for an extended warranty. After six hours of waiting, they told me they could not duplicate the issue. I purchased this vehicle new from my sales person (Anthony) at Rick Hendricks Chevrolet 4490 s lee street, Buford GA, on my very first oil change (which took six hours) I requested that they look at my transmission because it was jerking when changing gears. ![]() The transmission is jerking when it changes gears Now I constantly worry about the transmission going out!. We bought a brand new car so I would feel safe driving it around with our six children. My old van had 140,000 on it before the transmission blew. I would expect this out of a vehicle that has at least 80,000 miles on it. Or you do a rolling stop and jerks really hard, as if the engine falls out/drops. I now have 25,000 miles on it, not quite a year old and the transmission keeps getting worse! You drive slow, and the transmission revs and will not shift into the next gear. I buy a brand new car and it drives like it has 100,000 miles on it and like it is 10 years old! I have expressed the very same complaints to them at oil change #3 and #4. I tell them that it drives like my 14 yr old van use to drive. He said it usually takes about 15,000 miles for the transmission to learn the way someone drives it. The mechanic tells me that the transmission is just learning the way that I drive the car. I express the same concerns, only this time it does it more frequently. They checked the transmission fluid, codes, etc. I told them that the transmission did not appear to functioning properly. When my first oil change came due at 5000 miles, I took the vehicle in to be serviced. Jim, our salesman was absolutely wonderful. We purchased it from Bobby Murray Chevrolet in Raleigh, NC. We looked at the Traverse and found it to be the vehicle that would suit our family. We have a large family so we needed something that sat at least eight. We owned a 14 year old Dodge Caravan, it died, and we were on the hunt for a new vehicle.
